The Gun Barrel
City Fire Department is a work in
progress. Like the City itself, the
department is experiencing growth and
changes. We are launching new programs
that we hope will serve many purposes.
Our goal is to protect the lives and
property of the citizens of our
community. We hope the programs we are
about to start will help to increase our
ability to accomplish our goal.
Also, we would
like to invite citizens to come and
visit with us. As a combination, paid
and volunteer, department, there is
generally someone at the station around
the clock. Unless, of course, we are on
a call. We would like to give everyone
the opportunity to get to know us and
how we operate. The public is also
welcome to sit in on training meetings.
Lastly, we are
currently recruiting for volunteer
firefighters and support personel.
